30-day 10-minute author business challenge

New year, new you.

My new year's resolution is ...

30-day detox starts today!

Yep. This is the time of year when everyone decides to make 2019 their own. It's full of good intentions and forward-planning as the clock ticks over from 2018 into the future.

Now, I love resolutions as much as the next gal, but I also know how disappointing they can be. Have you ever set a resolution, nailed the first day, the second, the third, but on the twelfth day, you accidentally dropped the ball? And on the fifteenth you were going to pick it back up again, but then life happened, and that ball got dropped too. Fast forward to day thirty, and you're feeling kind of average because you didn't achieve what you wanted to, despite your best intentions.

I don't have a magic solution for you. What I DO have is something else: a 30-day 10-minute author business challenge. This is taking place from January 2, 2019 (come on, I wouldn't make you work January 1. I'm not a slavedriver!).

I've set this up for those who want to start the new year with some positive changes to their author business - but in small, ten-minute increments. Each day, all I'm asking is that you put ten minutes of your life into improving your author business. Every morning, I'll be sending out email prompts and challenges for you centred around marketing, craft and self-care to help you start 2019 on the right foot. You'll be able to get these done throughout the course of the day that follows. We'll also have a Facebook group for an added sense of community.

So why will this work for you when other resolutions haven't? For starters, it's small. Ten minutes. Ten minutes every day. You can spare that, and if you can't, you don't want this enough.

It's also going to work because of the sense of community. Let's inspire each other to kick off 2019 in the best way possible.

And the best part? It's absolutely free. So if you're keen, sign up here and I'll add you to my list (because you've been very nice this year).
